SAN VICENTE’s 2025 lot, primarily featuring Santa Barbara coffee. Angel serves as the Quality Manager here.

He represents the third generation of coffee producers. The Colmena Farm, purchased in 2007 and beginning production in 2009, first participated in the COE in 2011. It is an outstanding farm boasting numerous top-tier awards to date. (Note: He has since sold this farm.) Amidst this, he purchased new land in the El Dorado area in 2018. One such plot is the El Tango Farm, where only Geisha variety is cultivated. It yielded its first harvest in 2021 and has consistently produced high-quality coffee ever since.

It is a mystical farm, quietly nestled deep in the forest alongside towering trees. Angel expressed his desire to preserve the original natural environment as much as possible, fostering a symbiotic relationship between the coffee and the forest.

Natural Resource Conservation Measures on the Farm

1 – The farm cultivates diverse plant species, including fruit trees like plums and pears, as well as timber trees, contributing to the conservation of flora and fauna.

2 – Wastewater from the milling process is treated, ensuring water is returned to rivers uncontaminated.

3 – Solid waste is managed through composting.

4 – Coffee is shade-grown beneath forest trees. Contour planting along the land’s natural lines further minimizes soil erosion.

Lot 2025 is Anaerobic Washed, undergoing 48 hours of anaerobic fermentation both before and after pulping.

It features a yellow floral aroma and mango flavor, underpinned by a Geisha profile reminiscent of jasmine and bergamot.
